ZitZot: Asus Eee PC 1008HA enters American market
The latest revision of the Asus Eee PC line, the 1008HA (also called the “Seashell”), is finally coming to the U.S., according to Asus.
The revised model, recently released in the U.K., looks to be a fairly major overhaul of the Eee PC, with a slimmer design and a weight less than 2.5 pounds. We got a sneak hands-on peek at the 1008HA earlier in May, and it’s definitely the best-looking Eee PC yet (see pics after the jump). We liked the tapered design, along with the thin 10-inch LED display, and slightly faster Intel Atom N280 (most Netbooks have the N270).

As far as im concerned with Laptops/Netbooks, You either are a gamer and need a £2000 unit to playthe latest Games. Or you are NOT! If not, this is perfect for all other means.
Whats the point in spending lots of money on a Laptop that's slightly faster….
I like the way Technology is heading, 2010 will be a great Year for Technology. I think everyone will head in the right direction and simplify solutions.

The difference between N270 and N280 is a tiny 0.06 upgrade which isnt noticable….
When will they adopt the Intel Atom 330 series? Hurry up INTEL!!! I cant bear to wait…
The REAL benefit is that the right Shift key is full size, not like the other Asus netbooks with an abnormally small right shift key to make room for the FN (function) key? Who uses the Fn key often? Just use the left side Fn key, that was a huge goof on Asus' side. So now it is fixed!
Notice the netbooks are creeping up in price? The older ones are where the money's at right now.
