Source: Time

Again just like I thought with the top ten movies was I hadn’t heard of alot of these albums but there were some I knew. But I definitely wouldn’t have any of these in my top ten, I would have a Japanese band’s album called TIME by Arashi as my number one. Again this is where you guys come in, post your top ten albums of this year because everyone’s tastes are different when it comes to music and we would like to hear them!

    December 29th, 2007 | 08:26

Wow, really. Amy Winehouse is at the top? Somehow all the press about her drug habits and walking off stage (crowd boo’d her off) because she couldn’t remember the lyrics to her own songs.

Thats pretty bad. Although probably only as bad as the fact that I think the only name I recognize up there is Robert Plant as someone I listen to in some form.

I believe this is a list of ALBUMS not songs.

Why is the site posting Time’s best of’s? The magazine is for conservative old farts, and is only seemingly credible because of its alleged respectability?

If you want a more credible list or something more likely to reflect the broad taste of the site’s readers, check out pitchfork or uncut’s lists.

  8. December 29th, 2007 | 08:39

i post them so you ppl will prove them wrong and post your top ten

Yeh but theres a vast spectrum of users on RLSLOG…there would still be a huges difference of opinion on what should constitute a Top 10.

On a side note…the link for LCD SOundsystem is dead (I bel
ieve its from a Demonoid tracker)?

And this list is the reason that the music industry is in the toilet. Not a single good thing on the list. Who the fudge is AMy Winehouse?

This list is a perfect example of why I personally haven’t bought a cd in almost 2 years (Tool’s 10000 days was the last disc I bought). I’ll probably never buy one again. And if this is the type of stuff that’s coming out, no concerts for me either. I’d rather burn my money than watch any of these crap bands nowadays.

  21. ???
